I am a great fan of Tommyboys mods owning a pair of his artwork. As he is now on low profile concerning mods I have to do it myself.
The intended mod is a Sennheiser 598. I managed to open the headset but I am stuck on the arc. The leather imitate seems glued. Before a teardown I would like to ask if someone was already confronted with this problem. I would have to pull the cords through for a rewire with the existing one. I Don´t really like the idea.

The second question is about grounding if I add a mic. Now there is more room on the right can so the mic connector should be there. I would like to ask if it is okay to connect the mic grounding to the right drivers ground and then go back with three cables (right driver, mic, one ground) to the left side, or will this produce a loop? The problem is, I don´t think four wires will fit the tiny tube in the head arc.

Thanks for your help.
