dont care if its only wav or it has mp3 support all i care is best digital coax out dont even need screen
 
budget up to $500

fostex hp-a8c has sd card input. haven't listened to it so can't comment on sound.

haha, yeah no wonder it cost arm and leg, has dac built in and other stuff
 
i think what i want/need, im only limited to this chinese device??  dugood hdap-01 (kinda like the name of that "company")
 
so just want some alternative to that unit..before i throw $350

negative, the proper usb converter/separete power/usb pciX card/usb isolator/hi end copper usb cable/power cables/pc upgrade/sdd-or play from ram= big and expensive chain

and yes i do will upgrade to usb audio(no other way around) in future when i have good source of resources, right now i can only dream of hi end pc audio
