but what does the following mean? (saw in a product's description).
 
"The amplifier output section is centered around a pair of single channel socketed opamps. The stock configuration uses the OPA209 but other options like AD797, AD8610, or OPA627 can be had for an extra fee."
 
I'm kinda new to the headfi game; have an AKG K-271 MKII & a B&O P5;
run thru a Dared MP-6 with a Siri source.

Basically you have the option of changing the amplifying components (Operational Amplifier (Op-Amp)). You can ask for different ones if you want to.
For example, in a Tube amp, you can change the tubes. Some tubes are associated with a distinct sound signature, so you can experiment by replacing tubes and finding whats best for you.
I'm not sure which sound signature each Op-Amp is associated with, but as a simple measure, try to take a look at the S/N Ratio (Signal to Noise Ratio). The ones with the higher S/N ratios are usually most transparent.
