I say go for the lcd-2 + a fiio e9.
For the dac I suggest you look at the uca202, emu 0404, emu 0204, fiio e7.
I really wouldn't bother with an expensive amp or dac as there really is no improvement to be had over an e9 and uca202.
I know people will tell you that there is a huge difference between the more expensive products, but in fact the difference is practically non-existent.

Just as the decision was made (160D + LCD-2). I'll look into the gear you recommend - thanks.
