Connection path: A&K SP2000 USB-C out --> USB-IN on Sabaj D5 DAC, analog out --> Bose Wave (speakers).
First time connected this way, and I was playing songs I know very well. Immediately noticed that they sounded like they were sped up. For funsies, I started a song, started the timer on my watch, and let it play through. Song time on the A&K said 2:23. Timer on the watch said 2:06. Whoa.
Disconnected speakers, tried headphone jack out. Same thing. About 17 seconds faster over a 2:23 song.
Let's try this: A*K SP2000 Optical Out --> Optical In on Sabaj, analog out --> Bose Wave. 2:23 song, 2:23 on my watch. Sounded normal.
OK, that's just plain weird. NEVER heard of that before.
So, what's the issue here? Let's try this:
A&K SP2000 USB-C --> STAX SRM-D10 --> Stax headphones.
3:42 song. 3:42 on the watch. Sounds normal.
So maybe it's the Sabaj USB in?
Thoughts?
