Place to get 40's/50's songs?

Pretty sure they didn't have CD's back then :p , and I'm not too sure of their audio resources back then. All I know is that music was very popular back then and it is my favorite genre. Where would I go about getting loseless quality music from then?

There is a ton of different kinds of 40s and 50s music. A lot is released on CD, a lot you can only get on LP. What exactly is your question?

If you are mainly looking for hits from that era, you can find a lot of that stuff on CD.
 
If you want the more obscure music, then you will have to track it down on either vinyl or shellac.
 
I would try ebay or an Amoeba records store if you have one close by.
