Interesting video that asks if Western music is responsible for how we think about pitch.

the piano note was near 4300Hz, he said around 4kHz, his entire argument is invalid!

seriously, I like and agree with all he said and found the last bit(the part I didn't know about) very interesting. I wonder if they kidnapped a few of those guys to get brain activity while listening to music or singing back the tones, to look for possible endemic differences at that level?
and I like how cautious he is about phase locking limits and the relation to perceived pitch, even thought there is no competing hypothesis about this. that's when I knew that this guy was a researcher for sure. ^_^
