Have just eaten one of these and can only say that Australian Pies are the Best in the World.

We've got a great Pie joint here in Seattle, believe it or not, called "Pies and Pints". The guy who started it, Vincent Gallapega (who tragically passed away recently) was inspired by the Pies in, you guessed it, Australia. Here's to Australian pies

...and to Vincent (RIP)

I've never had a real meat pie before... I've had frozen ones but they just taste like someone vomited in a pie.

well you'd hope its beef. a lot of the cheaper ones may include exotic types of animals, and beef technically includes offal such as tripe, snout, etc.
