The strap is four feet long from clip to clip. I am 5'-6" and when I sling the strap (fully extended) over my shoulders, like what those mail carriers do on bikes, the pouch is a little below my hip side. I had first considered getting the Lowepro D-Res 25 AW, but it was a little too small to carry what I wanted. I will try and get some images of the strap and pouch fully extended later on

Great, thanks for the reply! Four feet sounds just about right - my Duane Reade strap is a bit longer than three, and it still slings over my head fine and hangs just above the hip. Ok, no worries then

Patch-fi, I like it! And you can just sew it anywhere - where did I put that old varsity jacket?

btw thanks for the pic of the strap - i agree, the D-rings are a big bonus!
