The strap is four feet long from clip to clip. I am 5'-6" and when I sling the strap (fully extended) over my shoulders, like what those mail carriers do on bikes, the pouch is a little below my hip side. I had first considered getting the Lowepro D-Res 25 AW, but it was a little too small to carry what I wanted. I will try and get some images of the strap and pouch fully extended later on

For what it's worth, you can get this case on eBay for about $20 shipped. I'd get this case if it'd fit my gear better.

Great, thanks for the reply! Four feet sounds just about right - my Duane Reade strap is a bit longer than three, and it still slings over my head fine and hangs just above the hip. Ok, no worries then

I can't speak for local B & M stores, but a quick Froogle search showed this eBay auction as the best deal.

You know, it might be a cool thing for someone to design a gear bag with a Head-Fi logo. It'd be like a Messenger-Fi, but more useful.

Here's another idea, what about selling a Head-Fi patch, then we could sew it onto our gear bags.

What do you think?
