varunku,

I notice that you are using an amp with your ER-4Ps. Is there a difference when you run the ER-4Ps un-amped? With the amp, what is the nature of difference in sound quality?

Thanks -

Illiad

Illiad,
There is lot of difference in sound quality with the supermicro amp, this amp has 50 ohm resistor in it [ acording to Xin ], so ety-4p is almost equal to the sound quality of ety-4s.

This is the latest test setup for my new Headsave classic.

The Amp, 9v batteries. cables and Intel mp3 player all fit inside a cheap gameboy carrier which has a belt loop.

The Intel mp3 player came with a decent padded carry case which has compartments for storing ear phones which is nice to have when you dont want to carry the amp. The sound quality from this 128meg player is quite good. It does a good job of driving my Senn 590's. The Koss Porta pro's sound great.

Most definitely Iriver. There are just way too many features to compete with. And the remote is awsome for use at school so I dont ever have to take out the actual unit. The eq settings are also a lot better than that of the ipod. And that stupid touch sensitive wheel was giving me a headache. If I ever forgot to put on the hold switch right after i selected the song i want, i would end up hitting next or previous or turning it off.
