No. They are nominally Panasonics but there's been a lot of cutting, grinding, sanding and playing about with pads (ended up with the simplest set-up though). I should have a third-party opinion shortly.

NICE, I looove the S1, except for it's lame headphone out.

I will pretend like I didn't hear that. j/k!
It absolutely chokes on the Ety-4S's, but the E2s run pretty well off of the S1.

The R50 seems to have a much more powerful headphone out, because I never turn the volume past 10/30 or so w/my E2s.

I haven't got a digital either so no piccies I'm afraid.

My portable system is a Archos Jukebox Recorder 6 GB (2 1/2 years, constant use and still going) Sostenuto-1 portable DAC + amp and ety ER4P/S (with PinkFloyd adapter).

However I might get the iHP-120 though as the archos only does MP3 and no lossless formats (not even wav)

The S1's megabass is nice, but it's output is weak...it's kinda like the D-E880.

I find it quite satisfying w/E2s, of course I don't expect a whole lot, but it sounds quite good.

My iPod setup. The one off travel case carries the 'pod in a pocket up front, while the amp, and two sets of Ety's fit comfortably in the back pocket. The whole rig still fits easily in the pocket of my jeans.

Edit: Just re-looked at the picture and it seems that my date stamp doesn't function right, and it looks like I have a wicked eggo scratch. however, that is just a spot of dog hair stuck to those damn foamies.

How is the the D-303? I have a D-33 at work and love it (other than some tracking issues).
