Slipped the circuit out when I was changing valves and took a few pictures just in case anybody wants to see what's inside an X-can V2.
The top board is marked "PSU" so I assume this deals with the regulation etc. but am not too sure.... any experts out there may be able to tell, just by looking, exactly what the top circuit board does.
If this board does, in fact, regulate the incoming AC voltage then it is safe to use an unregulated power supply... just a large toroidal or EI transformer on their own... again, any experts care to comment on that?
