I noted that the Marketing Slogan says...."out performs, any other headphone in its class".
Clever, as this is not saying its sounds better.
Interpretation :

"better performance" = Graph and Chart

"sound" = Ears

I'm surprised that there isn't more on these headphones out there, I suppose maybe they didn't get these out to reviewers yet

I like the look personally, looks kinda classy. Without the bluetooth dongle at least. The dongle is ugly and out of place

Well, I caved and bought the thing just now :joy: I actually like the unique look of the headphones, even though the black plastic dongle hanging off the aluminum-looking finish of the cups looks very wrong... but I couldn't resist at the price!

What!! What is this!?? A HiFIMAN that doesn’t look like it was built from parts pulled from a scrap heap? If it still sounds like a HiFIMAN, then I will be very interested.

Diarrhea color...such a shame...

If this is the color of your diarrhea, then you should probably have a talk with your doctor.

You mean parts from broken Hi-Fi Man headphones? My old HE-5LE might be in there.

Let us know how they sound.

Will do -- it was definitely an impulse buy. I no longer have an HE-4XX to compare it to, but I still have a couple of HE-560's (one v3 and one v1 with the SMC connectors) and an HE-5SE as well. From what little there is to read about it on the interwebz, it seems it has something of a mid-bass hump and roll-off in the sub bass. That might sound pleasing "enough" to my ears, but time will tell!

I assume you‘re referring to this response graph. That is a pretty vicious looking sub bass roll off, but it’s hard to tell exactly where it starts rolling off because that graph doesn’t have any kind of scale. The rest looks ok though, so we’ll see.

It looks very much like an uncompensated graph, so don't take any of it to heart at this point.
We can judge it once we found out where the scale begins, 0Hz or 20Hz... but my money is on 20Hz.
