Awesome. One of the most unappealing things to me about the UM2 was the clear casing. Perhaps I'll pick up a pair now...

Personally I don't like the black. I'm not the greatest fan of the regular UM2 appearance, but at least they look like a high quality product. These look like terrible. The finish is awful!

It always comes down to personal preference. I like the black better then the clear. But I love my clear ES2. Go figure.

I don't think they look terrible compared to some IEM's that can't be named...like the Super Fly Pro or any of the Etymotics.

They need to focus on making the comply tips black, not the entire enclosure. The tips look bad fast due to normal use.

Those look nice, actually! They'd look better in the ears due to the fact that many earphones are black nowadays.

I am a huge fan of Black Rig, and this new UM2 black just don't cut it. For a $299 IEM they should have spend more effort in making them decently professional looking...my 2c

I perfer the clear case - because once in ears they blend with ur skin colour and people dont notice your wearing them!

@creyc: Black tips would be even worse, they would show wax like dirt on a black car.
