How come you don't use the remote with the RH1. I thought from comments I've read that the RH1 is not that usable as a player without the remote?

the answer to your question is called dj sets,

i usually have 4-5 (2hr) sessions on the player,

therefore i have no need for song title indication or a quick track skip, if you know what i mean,

in addition to this, the remote drains the battery faster and is also a source of slight sound degradation

If the MZ-RH1 is a veteran, what's this?

Works perfectly fine, too, and has a very sensitive and overload-resisting FM frontend, which makes it my current portable radio of choice. But there's more on the way, stay tuned...
