I'm planning to build a system with PicoPSU-150W. How does this PSU affect the sound quality of pc audio cards? How is the 12v ripple with this PSU? Is it better to use a normal ATX PSU for pc-audio?
You could stick with the PcioPSU but I'd advise you to either get a USB DAC/AMP as that power supply is unshielded which may cause much distortion of the signal output from an internal soundcard or go with an ATX PSU like you suggested.
