I am thinking about getting a 4 GB Nano, and I would like to put some of my favourite photos in it. I would be re-sizing from large originals to about 100 KB ones - is it a simple matter of drag and drop or do I need to do some sort of extra step in the process?

The extra step is that you need to use iTunes to do this. You put the photos into a folder, then nominate this folder to be synchronised with the iPod. Resizing is then done automatically by iTunes.
