You lost me. Other than the fact that the Cowon is placed low in the picture (possibly below an Ipod), I'm not sure what you're driving at.

Huge black & gold headphones with a thick rigid cable, with a tiny boxy black player hanging off the cable's thick plug.

The exact opposite of a streamlined silver or white player with tiny white earbuds.

Ah, I was taking the geographical interpretation of the word antipode rather than it simply being the word for "the opposite of". Thank you for the clarification.

Yes, it is somewhat the antithesis of the Ipod ideal. I often feel that way when I use my sony with my grados.
