Anyone know a “Head-Fi” type site for photo cameras? My friend is getting into high end photography and needs a good resource site like this. Anyone know of such sites? Thanks.

Dpreview.com is a wonderful place. The forum is huge. It's ranked 25th on Big-Boards.

True. I dislike forums that don't have GUIs as well. Whether to it's due to concern over bandwidth, a strive for absolute professionalism through a minimalistic style, or some other reason, I don't know.

To be honest, although dpreview is a great tech site, it's not the best for photo technique - the already mentioned fredmiranda and photo.net are both good for that.

I would recommend fredmiranda as well. And photo.net is also cool. I wouldnt recommend dpreview. I find it very agressive and people tend to fight a lot in its forums.
