I have a Rega P3 and selling my Primare I15 with MM for a dedicated headphone setup instead.

Any suggestions on Phono pre amp + headphone amp combo, or even a combined unit?

I’ve been looking at the Pro-Ject Head Box S2 + Phono Box S2 because its relatively cheap and convenient, but open for other options as well?

With that caveat that I haven't used/heard it, maybe Cambridge's Alva Duo (combined unit) might fit the bill?

Maybe, I saw some bad comments about it but would be nice with just one more box instead of two

Ah, I wasn't aware of any issues. I just happened to remember it because one of my favorite YouTubers got one, and seemed to like it well enough.


Also, a Schiit Mani ($149) and Magni ($119) pairing would be fairly compact and cost-effective as well?

Yeah, the Schiits are a bit hard to get in Europe though. Always out of stock.
