The pads are not the best for comfort, but you can replace them with velour pads from Sennheiser and I've heard that the ESW9 pads fit as well. Both are much more comfortable than the stock ear pads.
Clamping is easily resolved with a little bending.

They're comfy to me - just need to bend the headband. Also looks better after that.

What about the Bowers and Wilkins P5. The impression thread is saying some good stuff about them and their absolutly beautiful. Or the Shure SRH440. They have this subtle monitor phone look that is not to bulky or big for outside use. Also, they will survive anything and at only 60 something dollars.

I didn't mention the ES10 because it is an earsuit, and, as an earsuit grants the wearer an additional 4 deflection AC. I don't need people walking around with that kind of advantage when all I've got is a ring of protection +2.
