Original L2 MSRP was $299, but it dropped pretty quick after that.

Yeah, I paid $30 for my L2

It’s a nice headphone, but no way would I have paid $300!

First pair of L2 I got I paid $130 new, and I thought that was a fair price (at the time they were normally going for $200). I then bought a new backup pair when amazon had them for $65. My X2HR I got for $99 from Amazon.

Ah, gotcha.

As nice as the L2 is, I think a fairer price would have been $139-$149 retail. It’s nice to see that the market had corrected by the time you got yours.
$65 is an absolute deal, so you made out like a bandit on that one :)

Depends on who you ask, I originally didn't really like X2 at all, but now they have replaced things like LCD2C, HD660 and DT1990 for me. So... It's not that they are technically superior, just more enjoyable for me.
I own a pair of LCD2C, and even though they are technically better in a couple of areas, I still get more fun and overall enjoyment out of the FIDELIO X2.
