I am looking for a cheap digital souce for my 203.2. I have heard good things about the low end Philips DVD players. Would the recording version be as good as a dig source. The primary use would be as a cd player. The DVD recorder is to appease the wife.
Also, what are the limitatations on coax cable length. Is a short connection not as critical for digital signals? I'd like to put the Entech about 12 feet away.

I use the Philips DVP642 as a source into an Entech 203.2 and I could not be happier - although it can sometimes be a bit picky with some older CDs and some CDRs.
