Has anyone here ever tried the Philips AZ922517 portable CD player? I'm interested in buying this particular player because it's cheap (I can get it at way less than what you would think) and it has a digital optical line output so that I may connect it to an external DAC. However, I'm curious as to how this little player sounds through its headphone jack when amped with a cmoy or other pocket headphone amp. Can anyone attest to this player's sound quality? I heard that its 45-second Powersaving anti-shock buffer compresses sound and thus compromises sound quality, but I plan on disabling this feature anyway, as I will not be doing any jogging/exercising with it, although I will move it from place to place around my house andat work, and occasionally do some walking outdoors.
