They may not be the cheapest, but Small Parts is a handy source for a variety of things like sheet metal, fasteners, and other things needed when building things.

hehehehe... I'll bet somebody's building electrostats!

Seriously I've seen it at some Home Depot style stores but not others. Other places where they are sometimes found include scrap and surplus yards.

The stuff I am stuffing in the chassis for my new preamp needs to dissipate a ton of heat. I thought this would let the heat out but keep the cat from getting in.

Have you considered taking a page from Tube guitar "head amp" casing ? That is where three sides are entirely enclosed but the back side open for access to the tubes for replacement AND big time ventilating.A great combination of safety and cooling plus ease of servicing -just take off the control knobs, lossen a couple of screws and slide the entire chassis out for working on

They do have it (or did) in the heating/plumbing section and is the material used for radiator cover boxes for the venting/heat release part.I tried to search the Home Depot site but they suck on their search engine and you must enter an exact wording.asking an employee at the store may also draw a blank stare so you will have to dig
