i have a very soft spot for music that is laden with pedal steel and drenched in reverb with a concert hall-like sound. naturally, i am inclined to alt-country/folk music. my morning jacket, the cowboy junkies, and neko case are immediate favorites. patsy cline is the throwback, though i am not much into traditional (or contemporary) country.

i would be quite thankful if you kind audiophiles would offer up your recommendations.

here is the feeling that i'm going for:

my morning jacket - i needed it most

angelo badalamenti - fire walk with me

rem - sweetness follows

neko case - look for me (i'll be around)

cowboy junkies - blue moon revisited (song for elvis)

This album was recorded in an abandoned grain silo. Great ambient sound.
