I just read a thing that there are married couples who simply do not like each other. There was a case where a man asked for a divorce and his wife refused the divorce for the sake of the children. So they remain married.

Although I have no marriage experience nor do I  know anyone like this, I believe this phenomenon exists where married couples agree that they just don't like each other but they stay together for the kids.

I also believe that there are married couples who stay together even after the kids grow up because they have adapted a life of being together and it works despite the fact that they don't like each other.

They live together but their lives are still good and in my estimation or guess, they could still be happy even though they are peaceful enemies.

I remember reading an article some time ago related to this, the parents had actually outlived their children and went through with the divorce soon afterwards.  That really took some dedication.
