Yeah, I know, thank you. It's just I spend most of my time here, and these are the people I know.

I have the Tungsten T with a 128MB SD card. I bluetooth with my Nokia 3650 to connect to the web, fetch/send email etc.

Graffiti HWR is by far a faster way to imput data than those built in micro keyboards. All those little buttons look cool but its a dog ass slow way to take notes.

I'm now outgrowing the Tungsten. I wanna see what Markspace can do with Missing Sync for pocketpc. In the meantime I'm using an old trusty dust-ridden Jornada 568. I hope Markspace can do what Pocketmac never could. I'm getting tired of Palm.

It also doesn't help that my husband is an avid skinner. I'm always seeing the cool stuff he does that I can't use. I'm currently using Dashboard/Icbar with a prototype for the official dashboard release skin he did. Of course that won't be released for a good long while yet (it will come with the new version of Dashboard), but the prototype skin is so good that it stands on its own I think.

Another one to throw into the fray is the Siemens SX-56. It runs on windows CE and has a phone. I have never tried it for music storage. I find myself using it more and more. One nice feature is that I can access the internet and manage my email from any location. This has been valuable at times when I was at one of our locations without a network connection.

I have AT&T phone service to go with it.

Palm IIIx user here. Sounds old school, but I use my Palm strictly for notes, appointments, contacts, calculators and other apps that I need on-the-double, no waiting. And, I need the thing to be damn durable, reliable, and easy to sync.

I've been on the Palm platform for about 7 years. Can't shake it.

I got my mother a Palm IIIc for Christmas. From the looks of it, I think they are probably more durable than the newer ones, but I could be wrong. This was the first color PDA from Palm, my Mom just loves it. It sure beats the paper organizer she used to have.

As for me, my PDA is in my watch...one of those Timex Datalinks. All I really need is phone numbers, appointments and anniversaries, I can download the notes app if I need some notes. I'll admit that I did use it once to "jog my memory" on a test

I have this

Clie4.jpg

Sony Clie T-675, I listen to mp3 through it mainly. and play the occational pool game and read News using AvantGo. Plus the odd note and daily alarm.

But

I am going to suggest you to get a Dell Axim 400mhz instead, Pocket PC. It is more verstile the the palm with a bigger RAM (I know Palm is different), WiFi, cheaper then the top end Sony Clie. I have that Clie but if I was to buy one today, the Dell Axis is what I would get.

i used to use a visor prism but now that i can put everything i need onto .txt files (contact info, vital data, random reminders, etc.) and read them on my iPod, that's pretty much my new pda of choice.

I know you're right, but the Sony looks so sexy....

...Can't Decide.....

Just checked out the Ipaq 2215, attractive indeed!

So which one (Axim or Ipaq) is winning you over, plainsong?

I don't know yet really. Here the Axim is as expensive as the other PDAs. But you can buy accessories like the much needed keyboard easily - which you can't do for the Ipaq (accessories not sold here). They're about the same price, but the Ipaq is smaller. The Axim has better battery life...

It's hard to say really.
