At the bottom of the new Sound Liaison download it says that the DSD transfer was done with a dCS Dac.
I have bought the pcm 24/96 studio master file as I prefer having the native recording with no conversions whenever possible, but it did make me curious; is making a PCM to DSD file conversion better when using such a very expensive dCS DAC compared to the Burr Brown DAC found in an iFi or just using the software in a program like Jriver.

The album has warm mellow glow to its sound and I can imagine that the gorgeous interpretation of  ‘’Little Girl Blue’’ would also sound good in DSD, more ‘’analog’’ maybe.

The studio has a unique warmth and depth, which we have not encountered anywhere else.
With a decay of 0.8 seconds the room is perfect for chamber music and jazz ensembles.
All 4 musicians were recorded in studio 2, with a minimum of baffles used.

The recording was done in 96kHz-24bit PCM. The DSD tranfers were done using a dCS DAC going into the Tascam DSD-recorder.
