I have a Sound Blaster - PCI Express X-Fi Titanium in my pc.

Do I need to invest in a seperate Dac to connect to an amp? Is it possible for this sound card to connect staight to an amp via a mini to rca? Or optical if the amp supports it.

If I can connect straight to an amp from this sound card, cutting out a seperate dac, can I connect to any type of amp?

Cheers.

Your soundcard has line level outputs. You can connect these outputs to amplifiers or receivers.
You can use this cards digital output to connect up an external DAC or you can just use the cards internal DAC to a headphones amplifier.
If you have more questions let us know...
Hope this helps.
