I hope someone can help me out here.

My panasonic slsx500 is making funny noises. Here's the problem, when playing cd's, for the first 5 tracks, there seems to be a static like noise when the tracks fade in and out. It kinda like when you play LP's, it has that popping and scratching noise to it. but goes away when it gets to the later tracks of the cd.

Also i think my player has developed a wobbly spindle problem...it makes tapping noises when playing.

Could the two problems be related? can it be repaired? or is it time i got a new player?

The cost to repair it would exceed what you could buy a new one for. These items are designed as throw aways.

Agreed - cost more to fix than to buy. Buy a new pcdp.
