Can anyone recommend a good PCDP carrier to jog with? I want something that doesn't bounce around. (Like a backpack, fannypack, etc. does)

I'm actually thinking about DIYing it because I already have the soft side of velcro on my D-CJ506CK. Maybe I could get some elastic, too.

Although I'd rather go with something that would actually work. :-)

I had a neoprene carrier before, works better than a regular belt since it's stretchy and damps the vibrations.

I think there's a company called Tunebelt in Ohio. Do a search on them you should be able to find something.

I tried jogging with a PCDP and absolutely hated it. Even with skip protection the player skipped if I wore it in the carrier. Sure it didn't skip if I held it in my hand, but I didn't want to hold it in my hand. As a result I got a flash mp3 player. That was nice and small, didn't skip but still sucked as it was a pain to always put new music on it.

Eventually I got an MD and I must say for jogging, it's the best system out there. It's the first music setup for jogging that I've found actually works for me. MD is a great portable format and do the Tunebelt thing if you really want to, but I'd advise you to skip that step and get an MD, then you'll end up getting an MD Tunebelt

I bought mine at the Running Room.

I visited the store and purchased one. Not sure if there are locations in Seattle, but they do have an on-line store. It is currently down but here's the link http://www.runningstore.com/usa/

You can still browse the store and see what's available.

I have the Tune Belt, however had the Tune Belt plus been available I would have bought that since it has pockets for your keys and some change.

I have an MZ-N707 and it fits like a glove. I put it in sideways so the headphone/remote connection is at the top.

Thanks for your input, Watchdog. I did come up with tunebelt and some others when searching. TuneBelt looked like a pretty good solution.

I haven't actually tried to run with my PCDP, yet. So I'm not sure if it has enough skip protection for it. I figured that it would be okay since my cd player does Mp3s and it loads them into memory so fast. It will usually spin up, load some of the song, then stop spinning until a couple minutes later, when the buffer gets low.

Does Tunebelt stay pretty secure (i.e. no bouncing around)? Comfortable?

I have found the neoprene belt for the MD stays very secure and it has never given me a problem.

I had a neoprene CD belt and because the PCDP is significantly heavier than the MD (my MD weighs about 100 grams I think) it did bounce up and down. Of course I never did jog much with it due to the skipping so I can't say for sure how it would have been on a 10k run. However for that 45 seconds I ran it bounced enough that I think it will create issues for you when you run i.e. slip and just generally be annoying because it bounces around so much.

I'm guessing you'll run for 7 - 8 minutes and then when your buffer is out of music you'll walk a bit, adjust the belt, let the PCDP spin up and fill the buffer again and then you'll be jogging once more.

How much bounce you get will obviously depend upon your gait, how fast you're going etc.....

After you get the Tune belt, post on here with your experience. I'd like to hear how it works out for you.
