So I've been playing around with a number of setups.
One of them had me borrowing a Sound-Blaster-AE-7 (https://au.creative.com/p/sound-blaster/sound-blaster-ae-7) and trialling this coupled with the Sound Blaster Command Software. What I liked was a seemingly better ability to control the sub (like a pseudo adapative crossover) depending on whether or not I wanted more bottom end or not.
I have since returned the soundcard and moved back to my S.M.S.L DAC (PO100 Pro), and well it feels underwhelming - loss of some of that dynamic control which I am guessing I will get used to once again.
I stream from Spotify almost exclusively so DSP's etc don't always work as are really standalone library players.
Or do I need to re-think the quality of the DAC?
Just after other opinions I guess
