I have a PC rig with 4 speakers and a Marantz PM-50 amp. I have the speakers wired in series to the amp. All of the speakers have 8 ohm impendance so they fit with the amp pretty good. The amp output is 70W at 8 ohm but the speakers are 150W(2 of em) and 100W(the other 2). I have the volume in foobar and PC maxed out and control the rest through the amp.
My question is how much can I turn up the volume in my amplifier without blowing something up?
Also is it ok to keep the volume from PC to max and control it from the amp or should I try something else?

Isn't there any problem if the amp is less powerful than the speakers?
I'm asking because I already burnt an amp with the volume at 10 o'clock but then i had my speakers wired in parallel so their impendance was lower than the amp's.
So if they are now in series i can turn it up as much as I want without any problems?
