Hi guys!
This is my setup:

M-Audio Audiophile 2496 soundcard
X-Can v2
Clou Red 2001
HD600

Does an expensive CD player (or just DAC) sound much better than my soundcard or should I go for an OTL amp?

Add an ART DI/O DAC to it, it gets a hell lot better with it (I have the AP2496 myself). The amp can come next, as the source is probably the weakest link for you.

Hard to say. Without the X-PSU I've heard that the X-Cans amp is a bit lacking. I enjoyed mine while I had it, but I like my MG Head OTL even more.

Hmmmmm. It's a toss up. Flip a coin. Go ART DI/O or MG Head OTL.

As much as I'm a fan of the ART DI/O, the Sennheiser simply comes alive with better amplification. You said OTL amp... the MG Head isn't REALLY an OTL amp, so which amps are you considering?

Thanks for your answers!

Art DI/O. Ehh? I don't think it is as good as an MSB Link DAC III, or am I wrong?

The new MG Head OTL is probably very good. The problem is: I live in Europe. 230 V AC and shipping from Canada is no problem or?
