Hi,
Recently upgraded to a mini-itx build with the MSI Z270i gaming pro carbon motherboard and onboard sound, it was a bit of a disappointment coming from a normal full size tower and a dedicated sound card - Creative X-Fi Titanium HD which was amazing.
I've noticed that my earphones would pick up static/scratchy noises over time and I would fix it by unplugging the 3.5mm audio jack and rotating it a bit and plugging it back in it would go away.
However it would come back after some time etc.
Anyone come across this before? I was thinking of getting an external USB sound card like the Creative Omni 5.1 to maybe solve this issue.
To clarify, I have the sennheiser IE80 plugged to a 3.5mm extension cable to the PC. I have tried a different extension cable - same issue. I have also plugged them straight to my phone which is fine - no issues.
