I just watched a clip tonight on a Toronto TV news broadcast where Paul McCartney, after his concert last night, graciously signed an autograph for one of their newscaster's daughters, and at her request, drew a "peace sign" below his signature, which she proudly displays to the camera.
 
They didn't notice, but Paul's "peace sign" was actually a Mercedes Benz logo. Seems rather apropos that the now billionaire, socially-conscious, Vietnam-era pop star, would make such a faux pas.

I'm not one to usually whine that artists are sellouts, it's simply going where the smart money is and capitalizing on your talent before someone else uses you for it-- but man, McCartney has sold out.
