Pittsburg, we're coming in for the rematch.

That s/b an excellent game...and I'm thinking that with Corey Dillon this time, the Pats will win.

Is there a better big-game player in the league right now than (Michigan alumnus) Tom Brady? OTOH, is there a better case for "can't win the big game" (0-for-Florida in college, 0-for-Foxboro in the pros) than Peyton Manning? There was a lot of caterwauling when Charles Woodson (another Michigan alumnus) won the Heisman in 1997 over Manning. It was widely believed that it was because of all the losses vs. Florida in big games. I guess that pattern is continuing.

If Pitt plays like they did Saturday, they're dead.

If the Pats play like they did Sunday, Pitt's dead.

If Pitt plays like it did earlier this year, the Pats are in for a battle.

While I would love to see the Steelers win and go to the SuperBowl, I don't think they can beat the Patriots this week. This will be a VERY hard fought game for both sides, and the outcome is never certain. As we saw yesterday, if just a couple of players step up and play big, the outcome of the game could swing to a one-sided turkey shoot!

Either way, I sure hope to find the time and ability to catch Sunday's game between these two teams!

It's hard to blame Manning for the Colt's failures in many ways...... but, it's hard to argue with history.

Actually, I think the Pat's are just that well coached.

It's an interesting debate whether Tom Brady retired today whether he's be in the hall of fame. If the Patriots win the Superbowl this year, the debate is over.

Ah, I remember that ruckus. I still don't see how you can argue that Woodson getting the Heisman was unjustified. No defensive player dominated and shaped a defense that he did. Look at Michigan's defense post-Woodson. And that interception he had against Michigan State (!!).

Yeah, they really need to get some help for him, especially on defensive side of the game. It is not fair to expect Manning to be perfect every week to carry the team, just as Marino was expected to do so often during his career.

Well said. Candidly, I was going for the Colts, primarily because of the New England fan base never giving my Jets even the time of day. They played really well yesterday and deserve the support they get; Willie McGinest and all. Plus, they have great coaches behind them, unlike my Jets. Herm Edwards and crew just will find a way to lose a game if they can. (sorry for the continuing Jets *rant*)

It is really interesting how both non-dome teams won yesterday.

I was rooting for Jets on Saturday. My landlord came down to ask me if everything was okay when I screamed, "NOOOOOO!" as Brien missed the kick at the end of the regulation.

I don't know about that Doug, after the incredibly lucky win against the Jets Sat. I'm beginning to think maybe the Steelers are the team of destiny? Although Bill Cower's record winning big game's scares me.

No wonder him and Marty Shotenheimer are such good friends, they have alot in common.

A lot of Red Sox fans would tend to say that we just need to keep the faith and believe that destiny and curses are nothing more than child stories.

I still think the Steelers have a real chance to win this Sunday's game, but it will take a team effort from everyone playing this time. Anything else and they'll end up like the Colts.

I think Pitt will come out MUCH stronger than they did against the Jets. It just remains to be seen if the QB can maintain composure.

This Pitt team is pretty enjoyable to watch, reminds me of the Patriots in many ways. I think it'll be a great game, especially if both bring in their best game. May the best team win, and may it be the Patriots

Program the VCR to record even if you are not there. I just wish I had Satellite, TIVO and a DVD recorder... OR Satellite and a DVD recorder. Like VHS tape I'd put in a new tape or DVD after Half-Time. There'd be only one or two commercials I'd want to keep.

I'd have to agree with acs236 about Tom Brady - if the Pats win AGAIN this year, and he leads them on ANOTHER last-minute victory, he could retire tomorrow and be elected to the Hall of Fame in 5 years.

I've also got to add that the QB for Pittsburgh is looking like the second coming of Marino when he first came out. I've never seen a rookie QB, maybe going all the way back to Greg Cook in Cincinnati, who has seemed so at home in the NFL as Rothlisberger does. I'm looking forward to watching him for many years.

Sadly, we're watching someone else's dog, and they have the cable TV that affords us the ability to watch the games we've seen. Some family members are coming tomorrow, so we'll have to sweet talk them into letting us leave our VCR down there, and program it like you said. It'll be worth the couple of $$ to buy a blank tape and record the entire game, commercials included.
