okay, let me start by saying I don't want a lecture about saving my money. I do enough of that already and have enough saved that my ideal purchase wouldn't be an issue, but here's the real issue. I have ~$260 saved up for a pair of triple-fi 10 from amazon.com, but as a minor, I can not purchase them. My parents feel that my $80 dollar superfi 4s cost me a fortune, and to be honest, I still have issues, bass isn't where I want it, separation isn't where I want it, fit isn't right. Now I'm wondering what I could do to get my hands on a pair triple fi 10. Is anyone familiar with this scenario? Deliberately planning to buy a nice pair of headphones and finding that someone (in most cases your wife, (husband?)) is not willing to let you buy them?

I had this problem. I convinced them with good grades haha (I'm turning 18 this month)

I did buy my etymotics without them knowing though, they let it slide.

those triple fi's were like 190 on amazon a few weeks ago.

wait a little and they'll drop back down in price.

Open a checking account, request a debit card, buy it online with that to a PO box or something. Although... are you allowed to get a debit card before 18? I dunno

Im significantly younger than you were, and they were absolutely freaking out when I complained about a pair that cost eighty. So If I buy the sexy two hundred dollar headphones.....

well just return your sf4, if your parents paid for it say you didn't like them. What i don't get is that you want to buy the tf10 secretly without them knowing? or you want to convince them to get it for u?

tell your parents the triple.fi's only cost 50 dollars, and tell them someone stole the rest of the money. I doubt they'll know the real msrp of them anyway.

^i believe the only way he could get tf10 is using his parent's cc and they would proly find out through monthly cc statement

Used IEM isn't a problem if you have your own tips.

My brother gives me lots of noise for buying headphoens all the time, he thinks its a waste of money. Annoying but that's how it is. I buy headphones anyway, hahah!
