There's lots of choice in 1/4" and 1/8" male headphone jacks, lots of interconnect cable options. Lots of choices and quality levels for RCA panel jacks. But I don't find any real choices in DIY, panel mount, headphone jacks. Everything seems to be cheap plastic with flimsy solder lugs. Not sure why this is the case. (Is that connector not important?) Maybe I'm not looking hard enough.

Help would be appreciated.

There are a lot of options out there, maybe you aren't using the right keywords. I find adding the word "gold" to connector searches helps narrow them down to "hifi approved" fancy connectors more than a simple "1/4" panel mount" search.

Thanks for the ideas. I have found a few more items, but no where near the selection of other connectors.
