It's freaking 103" and costs $70k! It weighs 215kg and stands 1.4 meters high and is 2.4 meters wide! I find it hard to believe this could be that much better than a 1080p projection system. Especially for the difference in cost.

edit: It's not exactly new. It debuted last summer, and went on sale spring '07.

I would say that I would MUCH rather have a front projector than this. In fact, you could buy something like the Sony 60 SXRD front projector and a 110" screen and then still have enough money left over for sony's 32,000 dollar 70" XBR LCD.

I imagine you have to plug it into one of those power outlets that powers washing machines. I don't think a standard outlet would power it. Not even a 220v outlet.

But yes, a projector would make much more sense.
