Has anyone ever tried using the PA2V2 with Shure E2C?

I like the amp when hooked up to HD-600, but the E2C with amp, the bass disapears and the highs are shrilled and they hurt my ears. When the E2Cs are plug directly into the source they have bass and rolled of highs which I like and with bass boost its even better.

Anyone have any ideas of why this is happening?

Thanks,
Troy

wierd... my experience amping my e2c with the pa2v2 is the opposite. More bass and even less treble bite. Not a very good synnergy IMHO. Much prefer my govibe with my e2c.

It must have something to do with your source...

I have E2Cs and the PA2V2 and if anything it adds more lower end response... I like the sound better than directly from my source (Palm Tungsten E PDA). It's not that the sound wasn't loud enough from the source (it was plenty loud) but the amp seemed to smooth the sound out and quiet the slight hiss from the PDAs headphone out.
