I just bought a used RSA mustang with about 160 hrs of use. I also have a Hornet M with 600+ hours which to me sounds way better. My question is how many hours does the mustang need to sound it's best. Thanks to anyone for their help.

hmm that's difficult to say.it depends not only from the hours of use,but with what headphones u use them.

I have howned the 2 amps.
P-51 'll sound better after 500 Hours.
But for me the P-51 sound to much "artificial" compare to the Hornet, it's like there is a boost in bass and treeble.

thats a good question,, my predator took very very long to burn in. but it is known to require longer burn than other rsa portables,

predator took 900 hours!! from what ive read your mustang needs more time, maybe 400, but it should not take as long as predator, also make sure pot isnt too quiet either.

Thanks for the responses I am burning it in now I will use it mostly with my HD600.
