I have a pair of AKG K712 Pro that I am really fond of, and they sound alright with the Crack, but I'm worried that I am damaging them by using them with the high-impedance Crack, and I'm worried they might not be the best pairing for this amp given their low (62 Ohm) impedance.
 
Honestly, I wouldn't want to switch away from them since I think they're perfect, but I'm wondering if there's anything in the same price range with similar sound signature that works well with the Crack.
 
So I'm taking suggestions/recommendations to the above.

You aren't going to damage your AKGs. You just probably are not getting the best out of them. If you are happy with the sound, I wouldn't worry about it.

Although, I would point out if you love your AKGs, have you considered trying a different amp with them?

Well, considering I just built the Crack, I'd like to try to get what I can out of it before buying a different amp. The headphone amp in the Xonar Essence STX drives the AKGs pretty well, I think. I definitely need to amp them.
