Let's Talk about our audio Journey thru the years  including formats used both digital and physical as well devices used for playback :)

How all got started for me: With an JVC discman and an aiwa walkman (the walkman had only for a very short period).

It was that 1992 that my Dad bought this JVC discman (forgot model) and sony portable speakers (that classic sony motto It's a sony)

Then had a Mac in 1997 and also played CDs on it. But....

All took off with me grabbing the abandoned discman, and some unbranded headphones and all 10 Classical music CDs my dad had collected and I liked classucal music. Slowly build my collection, by 2002 I had 20 CDs and started with a Windows PC (XP hehe) and WMA lossy at 160 kbps and cheapie sony headphones.

was mid 2004 when i got my first Audio Player, a Sony Network walkman NW-507, that years re-ripped my Cds to MP3 at 192 kbps and continued to buy CDs, by that times i got to know amazon.com that meant more CDs.

By 2005 Had my first Boxsets, namely Scarlatti the complete Keyboard sonatas re-released by Warner and Couperin Louvre de Clavecín released on Brilliant classics.

By that time got to know In-ears as usual Sony Branded fontopia ex line of buds, they were prone to hiss like venom-spitting cobras :D

2007 Got my Second walkman A NWZ-A818 and got futher boxsets and started my first into downloads I detested FLAC because i said "Öh damn format too heavy and useless, can't hear a difference between flac and mp3, naaaahh mp3 192 sounds great and is the best" LOL, years later would regret having said that.... all flac files were downgraded to mp3. started using dbPower amp. wasn't aware of splitting tolos so I used to Split all manually also wasn-t aware of mp3Tag

Two years passed amassing music buying CDs, downloading and 2009 got my third walkman, the X1060, wnated it because it had 32GB so more space for my mp3s LOL, in that time i used to "Upgrade" 64kbps songs to 192 to get supposedly better SQ LOL, when i started using flac i found out i was doing it all wrong :).By that time i had nearly 10K songs, having strted with 200 :)

2011 came along and got bored of sony walkmans not having more tan 8 or 16GB for mexico and being bullied because i didn't have an iPod, decided to gibe the Apple Brand a try, got a 2009 iPod classic 160GB, by that time i ahd like 20K songs and decided to rerip all to AAC 256kbps and noticed a jump in quality.

The year finally i got lightened up and Heard a Huge difference with a apir of sony NC headphones between a CD and AAC was in 2012 and decided to finally learn to love FLAC and once again re-rip and re-download all in FLAC and buy what i couldn't find anymore. Also thanks to iPod i discovered i was doing far from worse with these mp3 "upgrades" (from 64k to 192k LOL). By that year i had amassed like 30K songs

Took me 4 months to rerip and futher 2 years to rebuild my library from lossy to FLAC, bu end of 2012 an accident happened: Dropped my iPod classic and it ied, learnt that no more parts were being made. Sad went to sony mexico and see, same **** with walkmans, not nbeing great and decided to get a unknow journey and got a fiio x3 First gen.

Boy 2013 joy with my fiio, superb SQ, iPod killer sound yay, plays flac natively and got my first huge microSD 128GB, by that time i had nearly 35K songs and had fully restored almost my library to lossless, still had some missing albums, not to be found until 2014,

The first time i saw the Word audiophile and go to know the ricvh boy toys (A&K players costing like 1500 USD for an ak100 i said f+++n crazy) the dude who sold me the fiio said there's no difference between fiio x3 and the ak100 they are the same, so I believed the brainwash LOL

June 2014 had finally come and joy with my fiio x3 nd to add to the joy i had my library 100% lossless flac by that time i ahd nearly 37k songs. Traveled to germany and got tons of music from my German friend (ca. 50GB worth of new FLAC ripped music) thus expanding to 44k songs

October came and i got to know head-fi and got my first hifi buds the Sony XBA-H3 which initially I liked, fiio bricks and dies. The contacting of the dude who sold me the fiio were unsuccessful and in vain, resorted to fiio customer support no luck

January 2015 got a sony NW-A17 with microSD slot, Saw the ZX2 i said naaaahhh ZX2 naaaahhh what a difference LOL? mid january got a surprise in my mail box a Brand new fiio x3 replacement KUDOS TO FIIO :) But the sony sound was clearly superior and sold it (the fiio)

June got my first portable amp the Oppo HA-2, sold many things to get it and then sold my XBA-H3 and got the XBA-A3 in september 2015 and were an upgrade over the old ones, I saw the Z5 but also saind NEiN! lol.

They rumors swil of a new ZX walkman and i see my A17 as obsolete piecce of sh8*** LOL and got my first Mid-fi DAP the sony NW-ZX100, for that i sold my A17 and oppo Ha-2. By that time i had almost 45K songs

January 2016 I see head-fi member @Wnuwk Siphon was offering a pair of MDR-Z7 high end heaphones from sony. contacted him. I bought them from Him but on february 2016 I learnt the amn postal workers from mexico (well we will never know) stole my shipment! :frowning2: Kudos to @Wnuwk Siphon we got our money back :)

2016 Septembeer i finally took the plunge and bought the XBA-Z5 and sold my A3, See the reléase of special walkmans WM1A and get super hyped LOL, october my ZX100 bricks for unknown reasons and dies just after the waranty period expired so i dissasembled it to see it and trashed it literal sense of the Word, november bought my NW-WM1A, december went to germany and got futher 15GB of music from the friend and now have like 48K songs all flac. Finally bought the MDR-Z7s too :)

Did the best I could. Couldn't remember some of the model numbers way back in the day. This was fun.
