So my GR06s are coming in today. Can't wait to hear how they sound. Aside from listening to music, I was wondering if I can use these to play video games without any consequences. I play a lot of Battlefield 3 where there are loud explosions. Could this damage the headphones in any way?

You can use them to do whatever you want including playing games and watching movies.
 
You will be more likely to damage your hearing than your earphones from the volume they can produce, always start with the volume turned down and raise it until comfortable.
