Been a while.
So it seems I will be doing some traveling soon and I figured I’d pull out my FiiO Q1 (no idea what generation) and use that. It worked great with my old phone (Galaxy Note something or other), but now I have an iPhone (12 Pro Max). I knew I would need a new OTG cable and that’s where the trouble lies.
I found one lightning to micro-usb OTG cord for audio, but it says it doesn’t work with at least 1 version of the Q1.
So, here’s my question(s):
Do I try one of the cables that say they’re for drones?
Do I get a lightning to USB-C adapter? Would that even work with my micro to c OTG cable?
Do I give up on taking my wired headphones (Beyer DT-770) when I travel and go with Bluetooth? If so, which ones? I’ve looked at some from monoprice, because that’s about my price range, but I will have to see if I can find a decent review on how they sound. Nothing will compare with the headphones I use at home (Grado SR225), I know that, but I’m not sure where to go here.
