Since this is DIY and I've seen some here using Arduino for volume controls, etc. I figure they might be into the whole DIY UAV thing. Eventually, I want to deliver pizzas with mine. ;P

If so, care to share your experiences?

Unfortunately, the price has so-far kept me from building one, although I do have experience with the arduino boards in general (I've had one that's been used for an autonomous robot, and the fire control mechanism for a coilgun project that got scrapped (the team in charge of the coil itself never completed their end. Incredibly frustrating). I would love to build one someday though

Yeah the price does seem like a limiting factor. However, when you think about the technologies and what you're doing it doesn't seem so steep. It's about $550 for a kit and then you need a RC remote to control the UAV if things go awry. I think that's around $800 for everything. Our hobby is in the same price range when you have to get/build a DAC, amp, and have at least a pair of decent headphones.

I might try a rover/robot after I do the quadcopter thing.
