For those who believe in burn in, how many hours did it take for the Traillii to be fully burned in?
There is not that much that can burn-in inside Traillii due to having BA/EST drivers that tend to sound exactly the same from the day one.
Only thing that can burn-in is wiring/soldering in the shells and the supplied cable itself.
To be honest I have not experienced any significant changes with the Bird, the sound has stabilized in about 50-60h and all adjustments were minor, so it might be even pure brain adaptation in this case.
Same here, no significant changes, they sounded good right from the beginning.

While I cannot say I experienced anything significant, I gave it about 100 to 150 hours of burn in. I also did not listen allot during this period. My view is I am also testing to make sure everything is okay and working after putting a chunk of hours on whatever I bought.

How does the Ti compare with Penon Rival?

I don’t have the Ti but the Penon rival is markedly different to the Trailii. They are innately different IEM’s with different technology/drivers. If you had to compare, the Penon IMPACT is the closest “clone” to the Trailii from Penon. The Rival has the boomier bass and tonality. Trailii has a magical timbre to it that synergises beautifully with the PWA cable.

What does the bird sell for these days? I don’t think I would want to lose money over it … and it was supposed to be my retirement IEM. Then look what happened. But it has sat in a box in storage for months now.

Tips. The Oriolus tips being expensive to buy and expensive to post … mine eventually wore out. Azla Crystal and Sednafit were the ones that felt like they were closest to the original sonically. It is however a very faint memory and a long time since I did the tip rolling.
