What are the duties that need to be paid when coming into Canada from China. The Darkvoice 332 is calling me very loudly!!!

I would think that it depends entirely on how they declare it. Gifts usually pass through with no charge, and also items that are under $20.

I would guess "item under US$50 from China" will pass US custom without duty.The assumption base on any item under $50 which I mailed to China got no duty charge at China custom.

If you are in China, contact the Canadian Embassy in Beijin or a local Consulate.

it is illegal to declare item value below the actual value.... but a good number of people do that anyway...

in general, value under 50 USD would get through custom without charge
